For 46 years Interfaith has served as a foundation for community congregations and social services in South Montgomery County. What began as a dream of Mr. George P. Mitchell, founder and original developer of The Woodlands, has developed into helping thousands of individuals and families through a variety of programs and services
In 1974, Interfaith's first program was created by Reverend Don Gebert. He visited and interviewed families living in The Woodlands, creating a neighborhood publication that started out as a 4 page booklet that after 46 years has become a 500 plus page, multi-award-winning directory.
Today, 40,000 directories are delivered to residents and businesses annually providing important information like emergency numbers, government and community resources, public education information, entertainment and shopping resources. In addition, it also has white and yellow business pages as well as Medical, Dental, Restaurant, Hospitality and Golf Guides.
The directory is a multi-media publication that includes a printed book, an online directory and phone app.
The Woodlands continues to be one of the most desired cities to live in and as it continues to grow, our goal is to meet the needs of the community by publishing the most trusted resource for business information and community news.
OUR MISSION OF INTERFAITH OF THE WOODLANDS
Fulfilling the vision of building a more loving and caring community through service, Interfaith's Programs and Services works with member congregations, corporations, organizations, individuals and other social service agencies to continue Interfaith's tradition of helping those in need who live within our service area.
All programs are developed out of community need, and Interfaith's staff is dedicated to providing outstanding service to our neighbors in need.
